Who we are

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Your purchase contract is with Andrew Walls trading as MotoKey Guard; Shopify provides the ecommerce platform.

Orders and payment

Product descriptions, prices, available payment methods and delivery charges are shown before you place your order. Prices include taxes that we are required to collect, as displayed at checkout. Any separately payable import charges are explained before purchase.

After you order, we send an acknowledgement. This confirms receipt of your order. We accept your order and form the sales contract when we send your dispatch confirmation, unless we expressly accept it earlier.

If we cannot accept an order, for example because a product is unavailable or there is a clear pricing error, we will contact you and refund any payment taken. We will not charge a corrected price without your agreement. Once an order is accepted, we will honour the contract and your applicable legal rights.

Product suitability and use

MotoKey Guard is a physical motorcycle key-retention accessory intended to make opportunistic ignition-key removal more difficult and help the rider retain control of their key. It is not a guarantee against theft or interference and does not replace normal motorcycle security measures.

Check the product's stated compatibility information before purchase. Follow the supplied installation and use instructions. Do not use an installation that obstructs steering, motorcycle controls or safe operation. If you are unsure about fitment, contact us or obtain help from a competent motorcycle professional before use. Do not adjust or disconnect the accessory while riding.

These instructions and limitations do not exclude our responsibility for supplying goods that match their description and meet applicable legal standards.

Delivery, cancellation and returns

Our Shipping Policy and Returns and Refunds Policy form part of these terms. They explain dispatch and delivery arrangements, the cancellation period, return postage and remedies for faulty goods. Those policies are available through the store's policy links.

For UK consumer purchases, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their applicable purpose and as described. You retain your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable legislation. Mandatory consumer protections that apply in another country also remain unaffected.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, defective products where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

These retail terms cover purchases for personal use. Please contact us for wholesale or other business purchases.

Website use and intellectual property

Use the store lawfully. Do not misuse the website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access or infringe another person's rights. Website content and branding belong to us or our licensors; you may use the website to browse and shop, but commercial copying or reuse requires permission or another lawful basis.

If you submit a review, we may display it and reproduce it in connection with that review and our product marketing. We do not claim ownership of your review. We may moderate unlawful or abusive material but will not misrepresent customer feedback. Third-party websites linked from our store have their own terms and privacy notices.

Privacy and complaints

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is used. For a complaint, contact motokeyguard@gmail.com with your order details and a description of the issue so we can investigate and respond.

Applicable law and changes

These terms are governed by Scots law. This does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections under the law of their habitual residence where those protections apply, or any right to bring proceedings in a competent court available under applicable law.

We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms provided when we accepted your order continue to apply to that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with you. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as lawful.
